Germination and where to start
When you start the process of germination, there's a bunch of things that might be going through your head. Most people would start by looking up grow materials for the soil. Seed germination starts with imbibition, when the seed takes in water from the soil. This triggers root growth to allow the seed to get more water. The most important part in starting the process is finding the perfect seed and genetics that would best fit your conditions for your personal grow. There's tons of ways to "pop" seeds but here at Dank, We got you covered on a for sure way to ensure perfect germination rates. When you get some Dank Seeds and now ready to grow some plants. Regardless if you are a seasoned grower or novice. Let's go over a step by step on how we love to start your dank genetics.
1. Pre-soak your MJ seeds.
Option A: Use 6 parts filtered water and 1 part hydrogen peroxide (brown bottle 3%). Soak for 6-12 hours.
Option B: Or skip the hydrogen peroxide and only use filtered water. Soak for 6-12 hours.
Filtered bottle water, distilled water, any of those work. DO NOT USE TAP WATER!!
2. Take a paper towel and soak with that same water solution. After you soak it make sure you ring it out. The paper towel should be damp but not dripping wet. Over saturation can cause a mold situation.
3. Strain the seeds and place in the paper towel 1 inch apart. Fold the paper towel up a few times and place in a ziploc bag. Seal the bag and place in a dark location. Avoid placing in a cold area. 75 to 90 degrees is a good temp. ONLY 1 STRAIN PER PAPER TOWEL.
4. Check every 12 hours. As soon as there is a tap root (white root sticking out of the shell) plant it in a good soil or other media of your choice. In soil make a small hole and place the tap root down. Seed up! Just cover the top with soil and very lightly pack. VERY LIGHT. YOU DO NOT WANT TO DAMAGE THE TAP ROOT. Seed should be just below the surface. Planting seed too deep can make it a long process for the seed to reach the top. Sometimes never. Moisten the soil around the seed. No need to over soak the soil in the beginning.
